He began his fundraising career in Sydney, Australia as the Director of a local campaign,where he executed three full annual fundraising workplans, conducted hundreds of face-to-face solicitation meetings and produced dozens of fundraising events.

Following that, as an International Regional Director, he was responsible for fundraising campaigns in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and South Africa, and the professional teams in these countries, generating over US$ 46 million in donations a year.

For the last 12 years, he has held the position of Director of Development, in which he managed several development and service departments, led strategic fundraising initiatives, created a new strategy for securing wills and endowments, and oversaw the development and execution of hundreds of new philanthropic products, including over 100 capital construction projects and the establishment of an Impact Investing Fund.

As part of his responsibility for marketing, Mike developed and implemented a new branding strategy, created a new strategy for digital marketing, and oversaw the production of hundreds of marketing videos and other materials. He also reinvented and produced for 15 years the prestigious ILR (International Leadership Reunion) conferences for the Jewish world's most generous philanthropists.

Mike has extensive experience in teaching and training fundraising lay-leadership and professionals. He established and ran an international Conference for lay leaders, he conducted practical fundraising seminars in many countries, and helped local fundraising organizations develop their strategies. Over the years Mike trained over 400 fundraising professionals in one of the best practical fundraising courses in the world.

Today he is a senior advisor on impact investing and a mentor for fundraising organizations. Mike has a law degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and worked as a lawyer in the business sector. He holds Master's (with Honors) in organizational development, specializing in Third Sector (nonprofit) organizations.
