Rexhep Ilazi is a business development professional with 20 years of work experience and management in programs focused on improving the competitiveness of the private sector, the economic environment and capacity building of SMEs, as well as other economic actors, including industry associations. and non-governmental organizations.

Finally, Mr. Ilazi serves as the Timber Sector Leader in the USAID Export Growth Project. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2020, Mr. Ilazi was Team Leader on the USAID EMPOWER Private Sector Project in Kosovo worth $ 15 million helping to support Kosovo's most competitive sectors (wood / furniture and clothing) in expanding production, improving efficiency and exporting products to countries European. More than half of the businesses assisted under his leadership reached a significant new market (Switzerland, Germany and Belgium).

During the years 2004-2013, Mr. Ilazi led the business development component and was part of the USAID $ 25 million Project Management Team in Serbia. During this engagement, Mr. Ilazi oversaw the technical assistance line activities for SMEs that focused on the fashion and textile, wood / furniture, tourism, and food / agro-processing sectors.

Mr. Ilazi spent four years, from 2000 to 2004, working with civil society organizations in Kosovo, Liberia, Macedonia and Serbia.

Mr. Ilazi was born in Vranje, Serbia, in 1977. He is married and has two children, a daughter and a son. He has a master's degree in management from SEEU, Tetovo.
