Dajana Berisha is the Executive Director of the Forum for Civic Initiatives – FIQ. With a diverse international academic and professional background Dajana joined the forum in February 2013 to lead its development. Her previous professional experiences include policy making in areas like employment, migration, social welfare, and entrepreneurship to support active employment policies combined with economic assistance for poverty alleviation. Dajana graduated in the field of linguistics and literature, holds an MA in International Migration and Development from the University of Sussex, many other professional specialisations in international human rights and humanitarian laws, executive leadership of NGO's and was educated in Albania, Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden and the United States.
Dajana's vision for the forum has been to empower FIQ through empowerment of its local partners with the knowledge and skills necessary to enable them to make better decisions, work towards sustainability and increase their advocacy capacities.
Ms. Berisha holds dual citizenship Albanian and American, worked and lived in Albania, USA, England, Scandinavian Countries and is currently residing in Kosovo.
